With the 2016/2017 NPFL season up and running, former champions Kano Pillars FC are a team ready to make their supporters and people proud.
Chairman of Kano Pillars, Alhaji Tukur Babangida, believes the team is a good and ambitious one, that is ready to make its supporters proud.
The Sai Masu Gida outfit relinquished the NPFL title two seasons ago after winning it back-to-back for three years.
When asked about the target for new coach Kadiri Ikhana, Babangida maintained that a continental ticket will be a meaningful achievement for the team this campaign.
“The board did not set a target for the coach, because we are all working towards achieving the same goal which is a continental ticket”.
The chairman also hailed the blend of youth and experienced players in the team, adding, “They are there to make the supporters proud”.
Pillars played the opening match of the NPFL for this season against FC Ifeanyi Ubah who chose to abandon the game after alleged poor officiating.
Kano Pillars have since been awarded 3 points and 3 goals by the League Management Company (LMC) and has sanctioned the Nnewi-based club.
