Though news of the return of last season’s Most Valuable Player in the Nigeria Professional Football League, Chisom Egbuchulam had made the rounds late on Sunday night, the player has come out to clear the air.
Egbuchulam left immediately after the end of last season in search of the proverbial greener pastures in North Africa (Tunisian) and Club Africain had shown serious interest in the player who scored 16 times last season for the Flying Antelopes.
The deal, according to Chisom, may have slowly dragged on, but it’s certainly still on aoifootball.com can report authoritatively.
“I can confirm that I still have other deals and discussions are on. I cannot really go into full details right now”, said Egbuchulam.
On the news that he will be featuring for Rangers International this Wednesday in a Match Day 4 clash against Akwa United in Uyo, Egbuchulam clearly dismissed the report, saying his transfer move out of the club was still on.
“I won’t be featuring for Rangers; like I said earlier, my transfer deal out of Rangers is still on and that’s all I can say for now” he told aoifootball.com.
