One of Nigeria’s flagbearers in this year’s CAF Confederations Cup competition, FC IfeanyiUbah may have to watch their backs as reports reachingaoifootball.com have it that it’s Egyptian opponents have started spying on them.
FC IfeanyiUbah are to host face Al-Masry of Egypt in the first leg of the preliminary round. However,aoifootball.com gathered that the Egyptian club has sent in spies to help gather information about their Nigerian opponents.
The spies are understood to be using their men at the Egyptian Embassy, whom they believe can help sway their Nigerian friends.
It is believed that one of the assignments given to the spies is to get video clips of all FC Ifeanyi Ubah matches so far played in the Nigerian Profession Football League (NPFL).
The desperate agents have been contacting various links in Nigeria, including media houses and Nigerian journalists who have watched FC Ifeanyi Ubah play this season.
As a matter of importance, matches required are; FC Ifeanyi Ubah’s Charity Cup match vs Rangers International, Kano Pillars vs FC Ifeanyi Ubah, FC Ifeanyi Ubah vs MFM, ABS vs FC Ifeanyi Ubah and FC Ifeanyi Ubah vs Rivers United.
To the spying agents, these matches are of importance because it showed various patterns of results recorded by the Nnewi-based team and will help Al-Masry prepare very well for the Anambra warriors.
