Plateau United Coach, Kennedy Boboye has revealed the situations that saw him fail at the last two clubs he managed in the Nigeria Professional Football League Sunshine Stars and Abia Warriors.

Boboye enjoyed early successes at Sunshine Stars of Akure and Umuahia outfit Abia Warriors, but the story changed at some point of the past seasons and his reign as manager was short-lived as he resigned and was relieved at both clubs, respectively.

“The situation at Sunshine Stars was okay at the beginning and we enjoyed the successes on the pitch only for the then chairman to mess it up”, Boboye told Channels Sports.

“In the case of Abia Warriors, we had a good start too but I quickly told the management that the pitch was in a horrible state and for us to continue winning especially at home, there was need for us to either move away to another venue with a better pitch or a quick fix of the pitch.” They didn’t listen, well we had to part ways because our working relationship was soured”, revealed Boboye.

Currently, Boboye’s Plateau United are on top of the log with 13 points after recording four wins and a draw.
