Manchester City have suffered a huge blow in their title ambition as the club have confirmed on Tuesday, February, 14, 2017 that star striker Gabriel Jesus has suffered a broken metatarsal and will be out for two to three months.

 

The Brazilian youngster came off injured in City’s 2-0 win away at Bournemouth on Monday night, and this will be a bitter blow for Pep Guardiola as the forward has made a blistering start to his career at the Etihad.

 

‘Manchester City can confirm Gabriel Jesus suffered a fractured metatarsal during the 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Monday night.

“The 19-year-old was withdrawn from action after 15 minutes of the game and assessed by the Club’s medical staff. He will undergo further examinations in the coming day,” the club explained in a statement

Gabriel Jesus has flourished since joining the City squad in January 2017 following a £28.6million move from Palmeiras, and has went on to score three Premier League goals for the club.
