Chairman of FC Taraba, Mr. Daniel Gani, has said that the Jalingo-based club will be ready for the NNL kickoff later this month despite the mass exodus that has hit the club.

Gani, while speaking exclusively to AOIfootball.com, revealed that many of the clubs’ old players have left for greener pastures but a few others still keep faith with the club. The chairman expressed optimism that the club would not fight relegation, because there is going to be prompt payment of salaries to the players this time around.

“FC Taraba will be ready for the kickoff of the NNL, despite the number of players that have left us. Many of the old players have left us and I know it was because of the financial problems we encountered last year.”

“We will screen the few old ones that are left with us and we will also inject some fresh legs into the team. We don’t want to face what we went through last year, so we are looking at making sure the players get their salaries on time, this time around,” concluded Gani.
