Super Eagles and KAA Gent defence trojan, William Troost-Ekong has expressed delight following the Super Eagles 1-1 draw against Senegal’s Teranga Lions in an international friendly at the Hive Stadium, London on Thursday.

Kelechi Iheanacho picked himself up from the ground after he was brought down, to equalize for the Eagles in the 86th minute from the penalty spot after Moussa Sow gave the Lions the lead in the 54th minute.

Ekong, who posted a stellar performance in the game, was encouraged by the support from the fans.

“Thanks for your great support! Good fight from the team for the draw. Proud to have played my 10th cap for Nigeria,” Ekong enthused.

The Eagles face the Stallions of Burkina Faso on Monday 27th March, 2017 in another grade A friendly.
