Abia Warriors Coach, Abdullahi Usman Biffo has said that the three-match ultimatum given to Enugu Rangers Coach, Imama Amapakabo to save his job is not justifiable, and that the club’s helmsmen were ill-advised into taking such a decision.
Biffo, in an exclusive interview with AOIfootball.com, stressed that all Nigerians should have kicked against the three-match ultimatum given to Imama, because of what he was able to achieve last season even when nobody gave him a chance.
The former Giwa FC coach noted further that Imama deserves more respect and support of everybody in Rangers in this difficult time, adding that if Rangers can win their games which are all at home, they will find themselves at the middle of the table.
“We as coaches don’t want to talk about that; sometimes ago, I was given an ultimatum and nobody knew about it. It is part of the job, for you to be able to handle the pressure.”
“Enugu Rangers giving an ultimatum to Imama is not justifiable at all; it is something that all Nigerians are supposed to kick against because this is a coach that nobody gave a chance but out of nowhere he broke the 32-year jinx last season.”
‘”Imama deserves more respect because if you look at the table, I don’t want to look at where they are now but I believe that if they win their three outstanding matches they will climb to the middle of the table, so everybody in Rangers should just give him their support so that the club will get out of their current position,” Biffo concluded.
