Former Super Eagle’s captain and coach, Austin Eguavoen has indicated interest to man and lead the senior national team again, if given the opportunity.

The former defender was gaffer of the Super Eagles between 2005-2007 and took the team to a third place finish at the Africa Cup of Nations 2006 hosted by Egypt and then came back as Caretaker coach after the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

But the Edo-born football tactician, in an exclusive chat with AOIFootball.com, said he would love to handle the Eagles again in the future.

“I’ve coached the national team before, hopefully I’ll come back again some day because it’s my dream to give back to the society,” posited Eguavoen.

Eguavoen’s last national team assignment was as coach of the National U-23 team in 2011.
