Coach Abdullahi Biffo of Abia Warriors FC has charged the League Management Company (LMC) to improve on security at league venues to curtail the menace of hooligans.

Diffo, who spoke with aoifootball.com, said referees would be neutral and unbiased in discharging their duties if they know that they are safe from any form of molestation.

He said: “If there’s anywhere I want the LMC to work on, it’s the aspect security. Referees are human beings, if there life is at risk to them, they’re under pressure. The LMC should prevent hooligans from having access to our league venues because these people are not true supporters.”

“Security must get a double attention. If they were putting in 50%, they should now put 109% or 150”.

Biffo also opened up on what lead to the dismissal of former Coach Okey Emordi before he took over.

“It was just unfortunate that Emordi had to leave due to the bad moment. I have to commend the players for the quick reaction to that. The only thing we can do to make him happy is to get back on top,” said.

Biffo also thinks 6th placed Abia Warriors FC are ripe enough to for the league title this season.

“Abia Warriors can go beyond my set target. I’ve studied their philosophy, every year they want to challenge for the trophy. To be in a league for four years, you’re not a new comer again. This is the right time for us to meet our target. If you can’t win the league, you should be able to pick one of the continental tickets. I want to be the champion if it’s possible.”
