Hapoel Beer Sheva of Israel forward, Anthony Nwakeme has appealed to Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr for a chance in the senior national team as he continue to build a solid team, AOIFootball.com reports.
Nwakaeme was named ‘Most Valuable Player’ this season in the Israeli Premier League after leading Sheva to a back to back title campaign, scoring fourteen times for the club.
Nwakaeme told Brila FM that he would love to have a chance to show what he can do on the field for the Super Eagles if called upon.
“I want to show Coach Rohr what I can do on the field. I’m just appealing for that chance because it will be a great thing to play for my country,” enthused Nwakaeme.
On the invitation of his friend and teammate John Ogu to the Eagles’ Corsica/Paris camp, the goal poacher said it is a welcome development and he believes with Ogu in the team, there is hope for him too.
