Wikki Tourists have never been a bad team, the team’s gaffer, Bala Nikyu has said.

Wikki have had an improved performance since Nikyu took over, recording an impressive four wins at home and moving up to 16th on the log of the NPFL, and the coach sees his team’s recent successes as a true reflection of what the team was, even before he joined them.

“Wikki have always been a good team. Even before I joined the team, I knew the quality in the team, and when the boys decide to also play for you, it becomes evident on the pitch,” Nikyu told AOIFootball.com.

Speaking against the backdrop of his team’s battle against relegation, Nikyu said his team’s main objective is to maintain their NPFL status at the end of the season, insisting that the Bauchi-based side won’t be relegated at the end of the season.

“Our main objective is to ensure we retain our premier league status at the end of the season,” he concluded.
