Super Eagles and Changchun Yatai forward, Odion Jude Ighalo, on Monday took to his Instagram page to share his success story to motivate millions of people across the world who are despondent and don’t believe in themselves, AOIFootball.com reports.
The former Watford FC goal poacher has had a beautiful rise to the top after having stints in Italy, Spain, England and now in China, where he moved to for 20 million pounds in January even, as he is reportedly earning a whopping 145,000 pounds a week.
Attributing his grass to grace story to God, the Ajegunle (a Lagos slum) bred striker was quick to point out that he never gave up on his dream to become a success in his chosen endeavour.
“From Ajegunle to the world! I serve a living God. This is me 11 years ago. Those earrings are not earrings; I could not even afford to buy earrings, that is dot tape plaster. I am a testimony, I knew with God everything is possible, I was just holding on to my God, my high school girlfriend left me then because I had nothing to offer her. But I had God and I had a dream. Never give up on your Dream. The same God that elevated me shall elevate you, just hold on to him and trust his timing. I am a testimony, you are a testimony, put God first and it’s all done. Amen🏽🏽#Mondaymotivation🏽,” Ighalo posted.
Meanwhile, Ighalo led his Chinese outfit at the Development Stadium to a hard fought 1-0 away victory over Jiangsu Suning, a feat which has taken them to 13th on the 16 team league.
