Nasarawa United Coach Kabiru Suleiman Dogo, has said that his side’s 1-0 win over Enyimba of Aba on Sunday is a relief for him after his home was burgled and his valuables carted away in Ilorin.

According to him, he was under intense pressure before the game due to the sad incident but the win calmed his nerves.

Dogo told Aoifootball.com in an exclusive interview that his team played better than Enyimba and deserved their win, stressing that despite playing fine football, what matters is the result as playing a good game does not give points.

“The win over Enyimba is a relief for me and we have to thank God. It is a relief for me because robbers broke my house in Kwara and they carted away all my things. So, the pressure was heavily on me before the match. The victory was a relief from the incident that happened to my family.

“My boys lived up to expectation in that match because what matters nowadays is the result. That does not mean they played better than us, because there is no doubt we were the better side and we won the game. I think we even deserve more than what we got in the game,” he said.
