Abia Warriors Coach Abdullahi Biffo has said that he believes CHAN Eagles invitee Sunday Adetunji can go places if he continues with his good form and may even end up among the highest goals scorers in the league if he can be in top form till the end of the season.
Speaking exclusively with AOIFootball.com, Biffo said the club is proud to have a player like Adetunji, maintaining that he believes the youngster is a player Nigeria should be proud of having.
“A football team is not about individual players but about the general team tactics. Though in some games, individual brilliance could make a difference, as the coach always uses his joker to win a game. And that is what we have in Sunday Adetunji.
“A lot has been said about him, but I must say that it is not Sunday Adetunji that makes things happen for us now, but the collective efforts of the players- from the goalkeeper to the other outfield players.
“We are very lucky to have a player like Sunday Adetunji in our team; we are very happy that the boy is playing the best game of his life in an Abia Warriors shirt. I just hope he continues his scoring form so that he can end up among the highest goals-scorers in the league. Nigeria should be happy having him. I am happy for him and I believe he can go places,” concluded Biffo.
