CAF President, Ahmad Ahmad has said that, hosting of the Africa Cup of Nations will be solely determined by the quality of infrastructures African countries present, AOIFootball.com can report.
This was part of the fallout at the first ever CAF symposium holding in Rabat, the capital city of Morocco where the best football brains on the continent, alongside FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Secretary-General Fatma Samoura, have been brainstorming on the future of the round leather game in Africa.
The former Madagascar FA President reckoned that it is just expected that the continent football body ensures the biennial tournament is well and perfectly host.
“For us to beam to the rest of the world our football, we must ensure venues are the right ones, the airports have to very good and also the hotels too, amongst other very important infrastructures. It’s expedient we take this into consideration henceforth to move our football forward,” he said.
The quality of infrastructures on the continent has been an issue in recent times and CAF may be heading the right way if they intend to take the game on the continent to the next level.
