If by just word of mouth from a sage or a legend, Nigeria’s Super Eagles will record back-to-back wins and get six points against African champions, Cameroon when the World Cup qualifiers resume in September. This was the assertion made by former African Footballer of the Year, Abedi Pele Ayew, AOIFootball.com can report.
The Eagles are currently top of Group B with six points from two games and are trailed by Cameroon who however, have only two points but the tide could turn if the Indomitable Lions cause an upset in Uyo on the 1st of September and in the return leg in Yaounde, four days later.
Ayew, who in the past was a rival of the Super Eagles while playing for the Black Stars however said he is with the Super Eagles on this one, predicting the team will have all points against the five-time African champions.
“Nigeria and Ghana have plenty things in common and I must say if I’m not a Ghanaian, I would have been a Nigerian; we have so much in common and with that, I will predict wins in the two games for Nigeria,” Ayew told AOIFootball.com.
The Super Eagles, it has been confirmed, will play Cameroon on the 1st of September before engaging them four days later in Yaounde.
