Nigeria forward Anthony Nwakaeme registered his goal at 12th minute for Hapoel Be’er Sheva’s in UEFA Champions League playoff first leg 2-1 win against Maribor at the Yaakov Turner Toto Stadium in Israel on Wednesday night, reports AOIFootball.com.

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu was also in action in the game for Hapoel and both Nigerians played for 90 minutes.

Speaking immediately after the victory, lanky forward Nwakaeme showered praises on his teammates for working together to win.

“Maribor are a good side and for us to beat them, means we have a good team and I’m confident of my teammates that we can achieve better things,” he said.
