Super Eagles’ and Chelsea FC star, Victor Moses, has told Aoifootball.com that he is so much in love with fans of the Super Eagles and how he was treated during the last World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon in Uyo and Yaoundé.
Moses, who scored in the first leg in Uyo, said:
“I am excited with the fans, especially the fans in Uyo; they showed us love regardless of the team’s performance and it made me feel proud for dumping England for the Super Eagles.”
When asked what will be is reaction if he wakes up one morning and finds himself in a big market in any part of Nigeria, the Chelsea wing –back said:
“Wow, I just can’t imagine the atmosphere; if the fans showed me so much love from a far, I just wonder what will be the reaction from close by.”
He further added that he was sure “Nigerians won’t harm one of their own, so I will be treated well, hopefully and may be given a lovely meal,” Moses joked.
Moses is arguable the best player in the current Super Eagles squad and will be hoping to return with a bang in the World Cup next year.
