Former Akwa United and home- based Super Eagles’ star, Alhassan Muazu Ibrahim as toldAOIFootball.com that he’s a happy man after making his debut for the Austrian club over the weekend.
Alhassan, who started behind Kevin Friesenbichler in a 4-1-4-1 formation, said it was an honour and a proud moment for him to start for the club.
“Thank God for the favour and glory. Happy with my debut, hopefully it will be a start of great things for me and the club,” Alhassan said.
Muazu, as he’s popularly called by friends and fans, was on the field for 89 minutes, had 75.6% pass accuracy, created one big chance, had one shot on target, won 5 of his 9 duels contested and also made one key interception as Austria Wien thrashed SKN St. Polten 5–1.
The win moves Austria Wien to third on the Austria Bundesliga Table with 14 points from 8 games, 4 points adrift of early toppers, Sturm Graz who have 18 points.
