The 1st Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Barr Seyi Akinwunmi, has charged the Super Eagles team currently taking part in the ongoing WAFU Cup to go all the way to win the coveted title.
Akinwunmi who doubles as the Chairman, Lagos State Football Association, said in an interview that the Salisu Yusuf-tutored Eagles have defied all odds to reach the semifinals because they have what it takes to lift the trophy.

“The guys can do it; they have defied the odds by beating Ghana in their home ground in the quarterfinals, but that is one step and there are two more steps to go.
“I don’t believe in local boys or foreign-based footballers. All I know is that they are all Nigerian footballers and Nigerian footballers can play football once they put their minds in the game. The players just have to be focused in the semifinals and they will win,” Akinwunmi said.
