The Zambian national team, the Chipolopolo, on Monday had their first training session ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Nigeria, Aoifootball.com can report.
Coach Wedson Nyirenda had 21 players in camp with the exception of Zesco United players, who will be in action in the Barclays Cup quarterfinal against Kitwe United at Nkana Stadium.
Foreign-based players will be expected to join camp on Sunday ahead of the must-win encounter that will be held in Uyo on October 7.
The Chipolopolo, who have all to do against leaders Nigeria who have 10 points, are second in Group B with 7 points, and a win in Uyo next month may throw the World Cup qualifier open.
Nigeria are however, still favourites to pick the sole ticket.
