*Team arrives Nigeria Wednesday

The Chipolopolo of Zambia will setup base in Ghana ahead of the crucial 2018 FIFA FIFA World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.

Wedson Nyirenda and is boys were expected to travel to Spain for a training camp before the Zambian federation canceled it, earlier this week.

The team began training in Lusaka on Monday with 31 players, with the exception of the Zesco United players and the foreign internationals.

According to the itinerary, the local players summoned for duty will leave for Ghana on Sunday and setup base in Accra where the foreign-based players will join from.

On Wednesday, the team will head to Nigeria ahead of Saturday’s showdown in Uyo where the match will be staged at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

Nigeria leads Group B on 10 points while Zambia is second on 7 points, Cameroon 3 points, while Algeria is at the bottom with a point.

Coach Wedson Nyirenda is expected to announce his final team on Friday at a media briefing.
