Super Eagles shot-stopper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, has hail the mood of his teammates in camp, ahead of Saturday’s crucial World Cup qualifier against the Chipolopolo of Zambia.
Ezenwa, who to AOIFootball.com after the team’s training session in Uyo on Tuesday, said they are bonding well and are in high spirit ahead of the must-win match.
“The training session was a great one and presently, the mood in camp is good; everybody is in high spirit going into the Zambia match because we all know the importance of the game.
“We have to go out and play well to make sure we qualify our beloved country for the World Cup in 2018,” enthused Ezenwa, adding that the Super Eagles must be fully focused and prepare well for the match.
“We must be well focused ahead of the game and that has been the atmosphere in the camp and by God’s grace, we will win and qualify.”
The 29-year-old impressive goal tender, who was outstanding in the first training session on Tuesday, said he was pleased to have Daniel Akpeyi back in the squad, after he missed the last two games due to injury.
“I am delighted to see Akpeyi back for the Super Eagles because we need all of our best players ahead of the match. I hope to keep my place, but whoever gets the chance will be supported,” he said.
The FC Ifeanyi Ubah goalkeeper also wished his club the best of luck ahead of their second leg semifinal clash against Niger Tornadoes in Nnewi, saying he hopes they win and get to the final and defend the Aiteo Cup.
