Super Eagles’ defensive midfielder, Mikel Agu, scored his second goal of the season as Bursaspor made light work of Samuel Eto-led Antalyaspor in the Turkish League on Sunday, AOIfootball.com can report.
The 24- year-old, who grabbed his first goal of the season a fortnight ago, opened scoring for Bursaspor in the 37th minute when he converted a Pablo Batalla pass to hand the home side the lead.
The on-loan Porto player continued to impress but his solitary strike was just the right momentum the home team needed as they went into the half time break with the one goal lead with Antalyaspor reduced to 10 men.
However, second half strikes from Aziz Behich, Jires Kembo-Ekoko and Pablo Batala ensured a resounding victory for Paul Le Guen and his boys.
Agu had a decent game as he had a match rating of 7.2 with an amazing 90.3% pass accuracy indicating how dominant he was in the middle of the park.
He also won 3 duels, had 5 clearances and 2 interceptions as he played all 90 minutes alongside fellow Nigeria William Troost-Ekong who marshalled the Bursaspor back line.
Agu has now scored 2 goals while contributing a further 2 assists in 10 games since his loan move from FC Porto in the summer.
The result leaves Bursaspor 7th on the log with 16 points from 10 matches.
