El-Kanemi Warriors’ Head Coach,  Imama Amapakabo believes his team have improved a whole lot ahead of next seasons campaign in the NPFL.

The former Enugu Rangers coach, who spoke to AOIFootball.com in a post match interview at the Lafia City Stadium where his side fell 2-0 to Nasarawa United, said despite the loss, there were lot of positives to take home from the game.

“It was a good match for both teams, I must admit. And the better side obviously won the match. All things considered, I think my team is progressing in the right direction.

“I think so far its been wonderful. I was able to see a whole lot of improvement. I wanted to experiment and see the strength of my players ahead of next season and I am happy the players have shown great level of improvement and commitment,” Imama said.

The Maiduguri-based coach also declared that his boys are ready for the new season, whilst promising the fans of El-Kanemi to expect a different team from what they saw last season.

“Well, we will play one more game here before returning to Maiduguri to continue our preparation after which we will head to Kano for a preseason tournament which will further fine-tune our preparation for the next season, so we are well on track.

“The aim still remains the same for us and I believe we can achieve it come next season, if we continue to work well as a team,” Imama concluded.
