Alloy Agu, Super Eagles goalkeepers' trainer

Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer Alloy Agu, has said he is hoping Nigeria will get a favorable group in the Russia 2018 World Cup draw.

Gernot Rohr and his Lieutenants are hoping and praying they won’t be drawn in any group that has teams that can force them out of the competition early.

Agu said he favours God’s choice but stressed that the Super Eagles will be primed to face any opposition at the World Cup next June.

“We hope and sincerely pray that God will favour us while we move fast on our own part by working very hard towards a successful outing in Russia.

“I want a favourable World Cup draw on Friday in Moscow; that’s what we are fervently praying for.

“We just hope that God will perfectly design it for us; whatever God prefers for us must be the best and we must face it squarely.

“However, it makes no sense to opt or offer to avoid certain countries once you want to be the best. We are not afraid of any country because we have what it takes to confront any opposition at the World Cup,” Agu concluded.
