Head Coach of the Home- based Super Eagles, Salisu Yusuf, has confirmed the invitation of Plateau United new striker, Tosin Omoleye for the CHAN tournament in Morocco while also admitting he will ring in changes ahead of the NPFL Super Six final against MFM of Lagos.
Salisu, who spoke to after his team’s 1-0 win over Enyimba International of Aba to book their place in the final on Sunday, said he was looking to add two or more players to fortify the team ahead of the tournament proper.
“So far, so good. We will drop two or three players from this current team and invite another two or three more new players. I have been impressed with the new striker from Plateau United (Omoleye Tosin) and he will be invited, then we will see where the other two will  come from,” Salisu Yusuf added.
The Super Eagles’ Assistant Coach also gave insights on how his team will file out in Sunday’s final against MFM, saying he hopes to use all 30 players at his disposal.
“We have used 28 of the 30 players at our disposal and we will still tinker with the team in the final. It’s a preseason tournament and I want every player to play to stand an equal chance of making the final list for the CHAN tournament in Morocco next year.
“The boys have done well, they have performed above average and I am satisfied with their overall performance through out the tournament,” Salisu concluded.
The Home- based Super Eagles will take on NPFL side MFM of Lagos in Sunday’s final at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, after topping their group with 4 points from 2 games, while MFM got to the final via goals scored after all three teams in their group finished on 2 points each.
