MFM FC of Lagos Coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has submitted that they will find out more about their opponents in the CAF Champions League before the competition kicks off next year.
Ilechukwu, whose team will meet any club that finishes second in the ongoing Malian Professional League in the first leg, said that he has started doing his research on the teams in question and has already gathered some facts about them.
Ilechukwu told AOIFootball.com exclusively that when the draws were announced on Wednesday, there was no anxiety in the team’s camp, but disclosed that they discussed the draws and are looking forward to its kickoff in February.
“Honestly speaking, I know it’s going to be tough playing against a Malian team, but we will be ready for them come February. I have monitored them for a few days now, and will be monitoring them henceforth. I know Malian teams have quality players but we will want to know the history of the team, how they play and the rest.
“We will analyse them when we have enough information and I hope it will work for us. When we saw the draw, there was no fear at all in our camp because we have been expecting that. When we got to training that day, we analysed the situation and I hope we will be ready before we play them,” Ilechukwu concluded.
