Enyimba of Aba defender, Chima Akas has quit the CHAN Eagles to pursue a professional career in Kalmar FC of Sweden, AOIFootball.com reports.
Akas was absent when the Home-Based Eagles pipped Water FC 1-0
On Friday at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja.
“Chima Akas is no longer in camp with us. He has been excused to leave the camp to pursue a career in a better way,” Salisu Yusuf disclosed to AOIFootball.com.
However, the crafty left-back captained the CHAN Eagles at the
last African Home-Based Championship in 2016 at Rwanda.
His withdrawal from the team might pave a way for Ikouewen Udoh to
make the final shortlist.
