Home-Based Super Eagles of Nigeria have arrived in Morocco, ahead of the African Nations Championship tournament billed to kick-off on the 13th of January, reports.

The team, which departed Nigeria’s capital, Abuja at 12.40 am on Tuesday morning via a Turkish Airline flight, flew for over six hours to Istanbul and later connected a two-hour flight to Casablanca, Morocco’s commercial capital city.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Nigeria Football Federation confirmed the arrival of the team via it’s official twitter handle.

“Our CHAN bound@NGSuperEagles have arrived in Casablanca.#SoarSuperEagles #Chan2018,” the NFF posted.

The Eagles will face Rwanda on the 15th January in their first game of the tournament in Tangier at 7.30pm Nigerian time.
