Champions Plateau United maintained winning form in the Nigeria Professional Football League following a 2-0 home win against Rivers United at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos on Wednesday, AOIFootball.com reports.
Elisha Golbe gave the hosts the lead in the 30th minute before half-time, while Emeka Umeh  got the second with a lovely pass from Omoyele Tosin at 60 minutes to seal off three points for the peace boys.
Niger Tornadoes outclass  FC IfeanyiUbah 2-1 at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja.
Solomon Owello opened scoring for the Ikon Allah boys in the 15th minutes, while Godwin Obaje equalized for the Anambra Warriors in the 34th minutes, pushing up with his second of the season. Sunday Akinmoladun however restored the lead for Tornadoes at 49th minutes.
In Omoku, Go Round FC secured their first ever win the NPFL after handing a 1-0 defeat to Akwa United.
Adelani Adesoun scored for Go Round in the 17th minute to seal off victory for the Omoku side.
Lobi Stars recorded the only away win defeating former NPFL champions Enugu Rangers 2-1 at the cathedral (Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium).
Samad Kadiri put the away team ahead in the 14th minute, while Ayo Saka added the second in the 71st minute, Rangers’ only goal was scored by Chiamaka Madu in the 85th minute through penalty.
In Maiduguri, El-Kanemi Warrior defeated Abia Warriors 1-0. Elkanemi eventually broke the deadlock through Bello Kofarmata at 82 minutes.
MFM FC enjoyed a 1-0 win against the Afonja Warriors, Kwara United at the ‘Soccer Temple’ Agege Stadium, Lagos.
Enterprising Adebayo Waheed netted for the Olukoya Boys in the 51st minute.
Yobe Deserts spanked Wikki Tourists 2-0 in Damaturu.
Ali Aliyu opened scoring at the stroke of half time, while Philip Asuquo scored the second goal for the Babaganaru led side.
Sunshine Stars at home recorded a hard fought 2-1 win against Katsina United at the Akure Township stadium.
Abiodun Joseph and Sikiru Alimi both scored for the Akure Gunners, while Tasiu Lawal scored the only goal for Chanji Boys.
In another fixture, four time NPFL champions Kano Pillars defeated Nasarawa United 2-0 in Kano.
Junior Lokosa and Ibrahim Alhassan got the goals for Pillars. Lokosa goal is his second goal of the season.
