Hours after the official unveiling of the new Super Eagles’ World Cup jersey by the Nigeria Football Federation and kits giant Nike, the entire British media and international press have not stopped talking about it.
AOIFootball.com can report that the UK Mirror has placed the unique design as the best of all the twenty countries gearing for the World Cup in Russia, describing it as glorious and incredible.
“And while you’re there, pick up this frankly glorious effort from Nigeria that comes out as a deserving No. 1. It’s incredible, frankly, and is bound to turn us all into Super Eagles in the summer,” the newspaper said.
The new jersey, which is designed by Nike, features the home kits that pay tribute to Nigeria’s ’94 shirt which was worn by the first Nigerian team to qualify for the World Cup – with eagle wing-inspired black-and-white sleeve and green torso while the away kits boast of the full green strip in a classic fashion.
The uniqueness of these new kits is that it features Fast Fit Vaporknit kits to facilitate speed through performance and aesthetic.
Gernot Rohr’s men will wear the shirts for the first time on March 23 when they face Poland in a friendly in Warsaw.
