The Gunners made an electric start to the match and were one goal up after 13 minutes when Spanish defender Nacho Monreal put them ahead.

The Arsene Wenger-tutored side continued to pile pressure on their hosts and duly doubled their lead when Sotirios Papagiannopallos but through his own goal to give Arsenal a comfortable 2-0 halftime lead.

Former U-23 striker, Alhaji Gero who was quiet in the first half was replaced at halftime as Östersunds tried to get something meaningful from the match.

But just like the first half, it was Arsene Wenger’s men who struck again with Mesut Ozil scoring just before the hour mark to hand the Gunners a healthy advantage going into next week’s second leg tie at the Emirates Stadium.

Iwobi was on for all 90 minutes and had a game rating of 7.5, while also having a passing accuracy of 89%. The Eagles’ star also contributed three key passes, completing all of his dribbles and winning five of his seven duels contested.
