Super Eagles’ midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo was at his commanding best as he grabbed an assist for Las Palmas but was unable to inspire them to all 3 points as they fell 2-1 away from home in the Spanish league, AOIFootball.com reports.

The midfielder, who has been earning praises since his move to the yellow and blue outfit, helped set up the game’s first goal when he cleverly put Erik Exposito through on goal to give Las Palmas the lead in the 53rd minute, much to the delight of the traveling fans.

However, further strikes from Jonny Castro (62nd minute) and Pablo Hernandez (89th minute) ensured Celta Vigo turned the game around to get all three points at the expense of Etebo and his teammates.

The former Dream Team midfielder had a game rating of 7.1, completing 84% of his passes while also winning 5 duels and 3 tackles. He also made 2 blocks and 3 interceptions in the match.

The result leaves Las Palmas on 18th position with 20 points, one point behind 17th placed Levante after 27 games each.
