Rio Olympic bronze medalist, Aminu Umar was on target for Osmanlispor when they beat Bursaspor 2-1 in the Turkish Super Liga on Saturday, AOIFootball.com reports.
In a match that featured three Nigerians on both side, it was Umar who drew first blood when he opened the scoring for the home team in the 17th minute after being played through by Mehmet Batdal, to score his 5th league goal of the season.
With three minutes left in the first half, the home team doubled their lead when Adrien Ragattin fired past the Bursaspor goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
The away side came into the second half with more purpose and got what will only prove to be a consolation when Jires Kembo-Ekoko made it 2-1 on the 48th minute.
With the three points secured already, Umar was replaced in injury time by Numan Cürüksu.
Aminu Umar had a game rating of 7.4, completing 67% of his passes, winning 9 of his duels contested, and also showed his defensive power by winning 5 tackles for his side.
Meanwhile, on the losing side, Shehu Abdullahi had a rating of 7.1, winning 10 duels, 4 interceptions and completing 81% of his passes, with Mikel Agu who also featured for all 90 minutes, having a rating of 6.4 while also winning 13 duels.
Compatriot Troost Ekong returned after suspension but was only deemed good enough for a place on the substitute bench.
