Lobi Stars maintained the summit of the Nigeria Professional Football League after losing to Nasarawa United 2-1 in their matchday 13 fixture at the Lafia Township Stadium on SundayAOIFootball.com reports.

Austine Ogunye put Lobi in front when he converted from spot kick in the 5th minute of the game, while Najeem Olukokun drew level for Nasarawa in the 20th minute.

Ikechukwu Nwani extended the lead for the Solid Miners in the 32nd minute as the game ended 2-1 in favour of the hosts.

In other matches, struggling Sunshine Stars defeated Yobe Deserts 2-1 at the Akure Sports Complex.

The Desert Stars took the lead through Babatunde Solomon in the 17th minute, while Bala Yahuza equalized from the spot kick.

Sikiru Alimi got the winner from a sublime header a minute after the half-hour mark.

El-Kanemi Warriors bagged three points at home to FC Ifeanyi Ubah, courtesy of Ocheme Edoh’s 22nd-minute effort.

At the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina United beat Heartland 1-0. Lukman Mohammed scored the only goal from the spot kick in the third minute.

In Umuahia, Abia Warriors stunned Wikki Tourists 2-0, courtesy of Samson Obi’s brace.
