Obi, who featured in the Eagles’ last two friendly internationals against Poland and Serbia, was introduced in the 77th minute for Iago Falque after quick-fire goals from Falque (61) and Adam Ljajic (65) had put Torino 2-0 up.
The away side then got a third in the 79th minute via the boot of Christian Ansaldi before Nigeria’s Joel Obi made it four with three minutes of regulation time remaining when he converted an Andre Bellotti pass to put the icing on the cake for Torino.
Obi was on for just thirteen minutes and had a game rating of 7.3 and also completed 100% of all his passes.
The result leaves Torino in 10th position with 39 points from 29 games.
