Super Eagles’ and Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder, John Ogochukwu Ogu has debunked speculations linking him with a move away from the Israeli champions, insisting he is focused on leading the club to glory.
Ogu joined Be’er Sheva from Portuguese side Academica de Coimbra and has one year left on his contract but with several clubs in mainstream Europe thought to be after his signature, the midfielder however said he still remains a Be’er Sheva player.
“I haven’t decided anything and I don’t believe in rumours. I have a contract left with my team and I just want to focus real good to win the league this season.
“The league is not finished yet; we still have important games to play starting with the game against Meccabi Netanya this weekend. Hopefully, we can get maximum points and boost our title hopes,” Ogu said.
Be’er Sheva currently top the playoffs table after four games, winning three and drawing one. They currently lead second-placed Beiter Jerusalem with four points.
