CD Feirense young star and former Dream FC of Makurdi striker, Anthony Obonogwu has declared himself ready to lace his boots for the Flying Eagles of Nigeria ahead of the qualifiers against Guinea Bissau in few weeks.
Speaking to AOIFootball.com, the player’s agent, Mr. Ojo Paul, said he has been doing everything possible in Portugal to merit a call-up to the squad.
“I believe Anthony has a lot he can offer to the team because he has grown through the ranks and learnt from capable coaches both at home and abroad.
“Playing for the national team will be his joy and at 19, I believe he is in the right age to help the team achieve its aim if invited,” Paul said.
Obonogwu grew the ranks from the grassroots after emanating from the Glo Academy talent reality TV show in 2013, before playing for Lobi Stars and P Sports Football Club of Abuja.
