Super Eagles goalkeeper’s trainer, Alloy Agu is in South Africa to monitor Chippa United and Super Eagles shot-stopper, Daniel Akpeyi, this is according to NFF President Amaju Pinnick.

Speaking on Africa News Now a programme on Arise News Network, which was monitored by, the President maintained that the policy of the Football Federation is to ensure that, part of the Super Eagles’ department is being monitored closely while pointing out that Agu will like other colleagues, train privately with Akpeyi in order to get him to his best shape for the World Cup.

“We are not resting on our oars in ensuring our goalkeepers are ready for the World Cup. Uzoho has been training with Pionetti, while Agu has gone to South Africa to watch, help and keep a close monitoring on Daniel Akepyi, even Dele Alampasu will also get such attention alongside Ikechukwu Ezenwa at Enyimba,” he said.

The goalkeeping department has been a cause for worry for the Eagles since the unavailability of first choice goalie, Carl Ikeme last August.

The Super Eagles’ 35-man list is expected to be released latest May 14th.
