Super Eagles’ striker, Odion Jude Ighalo could write his own history for Chinese outfit Changchun Yatai this weekend when they travel to face Jiangsu Suning, reports.

The Nigeria goal poacher is just one goal shy of becoming the club’s leading scorer of all time after equaling Marcelo Moreno’s record of 22 league goals last week when he netted a brace against early leaders Shanghai SIPG to draw him level with the Bolivian striker at the top of the goals chat.

Ighalo has scored six goals in his last two league outings and could now become the number one record holder if he manages to find the net against an in-form Jiangsu who will be relying on Brazilian duo of Ramires and Alex Teixeira to do the damage for them.

The former Udinese striker joined Changchun in January 2017 and went on to score 15 goals in his debut season; he has also scored 7 times in 8 league matches this term.
