Super Eagles’ captain John Mikel Obi returned to league action and helped Teda bounce back from their midweek cup exit to demolish Guizhou Hengfeng 5-1, with braces from the duo of Jikang Hui and Frank Acheampong, reports.

With only the league to focus on now, Teda took the lead after just 16 minutes when Jikang Hui opened the scoring before the attacker doubled the lead on the half our mark with a well-taken finish to put 2-0 up going into the halftime break.

The home side came all out in the second half and piled more misery on their sorry guests with goals from Mirahmetjan Muzepper (59) and Acheampong (81pen, 84) made it 5-0 before a late consolatory goal from Tjaronn Choy ensured the match ended 5-1.

Mikel was on for the entire match duration and had a game rating of 7.6, completing 100% of his dribbles, 81% of his passes, winning a game-high of 10 duels and making 3 vital tackles.
