Former Golden Eaglets defender, John Lazarus, has set his sights on finishing high with his new club El-Kanemi Warriors after making his debut in their 2-0 loss away to Nasarawa United at the Lafia City Stadium at the weekend.
The former Fosla Academy youth prodigy, who joined the Maiduguri outfit ahead of the second stanza, told AOIfootball.com exclusively after the game that he can help lift the team away from their current position.
“It was a good game generally but unfortunately, we could not get the result we wanted. Hopefully, we are going to do our best and finish in a very good position; the league is very tough but we just have to do our best and everything will be easy,” Lazarus said.
He went further to advice the new Golden Eaglets team which would be regrouping very soon to be prayerful and determined and they too can hopefully go ahead and win the World Cup.
