Super Eagles’ striker, Kelechi Iheanacho has been rewarded for his fantastic display against Arsenal in a rescheduled Premier League fixture played on Wednesday, as he was named in the team of the week after getting on the scoresheet for the second time this season, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 21-year old former Manchester City striker, who was starting his sixth league match for the Foxes, opened the scoring early in the first half, striking powerful from a Diakite cut back to put his side ahead.
Iheanacho was on for 89 minutes before being replaced. He is joined in the list by Leicester City’s Riyadh Mahrez and goalkeeper Edin Jakupovic.
The Eagles’ attacker has featured in 20 EPL games this season, starting just 6 whilst he has scored twice and a further three assists to his name.
