Former Super Eagles’ midfielder and Coach of Royal Stars FC, Garba Lawal, has come out to bare his thoughts on how Nigeria can succeed in Russia, positing that it all depends on the form and fitness of John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses, and Ahmed Musa, AOIFootball.com reports.
In an exclusive interview with AOIFootball.com, the former winger was quick to point out the importance of the trio:
“The form of Victor Moses, who is an experienced player, and is currently playing well; Captain Mikel, who has been fantastic and Ahmed Musa’s new-found scoring form will make these players carry the team and give them a morale boost,” he said.
When asked about his new role as a coach, the former Lobi Stars player had this to say:
“It is fantastic working with young players. Our objective is to stabilize the team first and then look forward to promotion to the NPFL top flight.”
