New Super Eagles’ invitee, Simeon Nwankwo gave Head Coach Gernot Rohr something to think about after the attacker impressed in his first training session with the team in Uyo on Thursday morning, can report.

The Super Eagles had a little training game as part of their build-up to the friendly game against Congo DR in Port Harcourt next week.

The training match had all players in camp taking part except Wilfred Ndidi who is still recuperating from an injury he suffered while playing for his club, Leicester City.

Playing alongside Alex Iwobi and Junior Lokosa in the attack, Simy impressed with his shooting abilities during drills, showing his eye for goals with cracking efforts.

The 26-year-old forward drew first blood with a spectacular lob which left goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa stranded to put his team ahead few minutes into the session.

His team were coasting to a 1-0 win but Kelechi Iheanacho, who displayed a high level of accuracy during the shooting drills before the training game, proved his sharpness with a leveler which was the last kick of the game.
