Super Eagles’ defender, Tyrone Ebuehi has played down concerns that he might be battling with a serious injury.

Ebuehi started in the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw against DR Congo but was subbed for Shehu Abdullahi after he went down holding his leg.

The Netherlands-born left-back, who had an impressive game against DR Congo, in an exclusive interview with revealed that he only had cramps.

“No, because I haven’t played for a long time so that is why cramp started coming on my calf. Yes I will be fine for the England game,” he assured.

Super Eagles flew into Abuja on Tuesday morning ahead of a wealth investment seminar.

They are also billed to meet with Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday before jetting out to London.

As part of the preparation for the Mundial, the Eagles will play against the Three Lions of England who are also World Cup bound.

The Benfica defender further said that Nigeria could come out tops in the friendly against England in London, noting that it will not be an easy encounter.

“Everything is possible. It’s not going to be easy but I think it is possible. We can come out tops against England,” he concluded.
