“Grateful to God to be in the 23-man list to represent my country at the World Cup. I want to use this medium to thank the @thenff and the managers for their trust in me. And to all my brothers wishing me well out there. God bless you all. I promise you I will fight for this badge,” Ogu posted on social media.

Ogu has been capped 20 times by Nigeria. He made his international debut in 2013 and featured in the FIFA Confederations Cup that same year.
