*Player yet to decide on future
Super Eagles’ striker, Simeon Nwankwo is expected to make a decision on his future this week following the relegation of his club Crotone FC to the Seria B, with the player keen on retaining his status as a Seria A player, AOIFootball.com can authoritatively confirm.
Simy, who featured for Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, has one year left in his current deal with Crotone but is expected to make a move ahead of the new season.
The player’s agent disclosed to AOIFootball.com exclusively that a deal is already in place with some mid-table Italian clubs but the player his considering the best offer before putting pen to paper on any.
“Well, I can confirm to you that talks are already taking place with some clubs in Italy; Crotone respects his decision to want to play at the top and both parties are trying to sort out a transfer.
“Hopefully, a deal will be concluded this week or next, but he will remain in Italy for now,” the player’s agent disclosed.
Further investigation, however, revealed that Sassuolo and Udinese are the two clubs in pole position for his signature, whilst Bologna and SPAL are also considering bidding for the tall striker.
